GAS PRICES

Photobucket

I don't know about you, but I love going to fill up my van, and giving $3.21 a gallon for gas. The oil companies are posting record profits, and I love doing my part to help them reach these records. They get all of my hard earned money, and it just makes me beam with joy letting them have it! It doesn't matter that I can't buy food and medicine, they come first! Even better, they are projecting $4.00 a gallon soon. I can't wait!
Seriously folks, this was taken from a tv commercial and Iam JOKING!! Gas is $3.21 a gallon here and rising daily. Alot of my friends are riding bikes, walking, and whatever they can do NOT to have to buy gas. I have a bicycle myself, and use it alot. Colorado is a VERY Green state. I hope you all can do something to help use less gasoline.

I may have to use more
Maybe pour a gallon over the car and burn it.

Seriously, I live downtown, and rarely have to drive. Everything that I need or places I need to go, I can walk or ride my bike. Last time I filled up was the first of last month. But I see friends riding their bikes to work every day, regardless of the snow or temperatures. We're trying!

THE ONLY WAY WE WILL GET GAS PRICES DOWN --- DON'T DRIVE!!!
I walk as much as possible and getting a bicycle so I can cut down even more. This is ridiculous and sad for those on fixed incomes.

NJ, for some reason, has some of the lowest gas prices in the country. We paid $2.83 day before yesterday, and last week it was $2.79. I can't even imagine filling a van.

Oh--also please know that my 2004 Solara convertible has only 17,000 miles on it.

Mine is a mini chevy van. But last time I filled up, it was $54.00! We also have to pay a bit more, they say, because we live in the mountains, and ,they say, it costs more to get gasoline to us!

I wish I could do something to cut down on my use, I have to drive as a major part of my living so until I can finally retire I am one of those who are helping the oil company CEO's buy their private jets and afford their island vacations. I have already cut back on my speed much to the dismay of the drivers behind me and I really wonder if it is saving any gas at all. I also don't warm the car up any longer than I have to in order to defrost the windows. Once spring comes here I will definately be walking or riding my bike as often as I can but in the dead of winter most of us in NY are pretty well at their mercy. I took out a new credit card that pays me cash back just for my gas expense and I just recouped a $161 check, that's how pathetic the gas situation is for me right now.

Hi Coloradonite,
Your gas is relatively cheap (ha!) Out here in Northern California, it has now gone up to 3.39 just today. I have watched it go up from 3.15 two weeks ago to this price. Yesterday it was 3.35. Where are we heading? I would ride my bike again, if it were safer ;~)

I drive as little as possible now that I moved down closer to the church. The gas prices here are about $3.15 a gallon, and there's this grocery store that gives you cents off per gallon at their gas station if you shop there. Last week I got .50 cents off per gallon on a fill up! I saved $7.50! Wow! That made my day! 2006 gas price! lol...I mean omg....
