If My Love

If my love be raindrops
To tumble from above,
To your face I'd fall, dear,
A kiss to you, my love.

If my love be sunshine
To gleam upon the dew,
Then power'd be within me
To shine, my love, on you.

If my love be wild wind
To lift each leaf to wing,
Through your hair I'd play, love -
Love's touch to you I'd bring.

If my love be snowflake
To coat each Christmas tree,
In your arms I'd nestle
So you'd be close to me.

If my love be bird-song
To render notes so sweet,
You would know my song, love -
In you my life's complete!
