Hal and I will be judging the pictures(not that we are experts by any means), therefore we will not be participating in the contest!

I work next to a golf course that has a big dead tree in it which is frequented by a big red-tail hawk. I stopped by the course yesterday to ask if it would be OK to go out on the grounds to take a picture.

Since I have permission to do that, I'm hoping to get a nice red-tail image in for the contest.

Don't know as I have a chance with all the great photos here, but will try. This is a baby hummingbird on it's maiden flight out of nest. Followed two babies from egg 7/07 to and after fledging ...they are still in my yard.
