Ex's

I am divorced and we don't communicate, but it isn't because of anger, it is because we live hundreds of miles apart and both have our own lives. My son divorced and I told him he divorced her, I didn't. She will be here this week and will probably stay with us a few days. His ex and I are really good friends. I even babysit for her when she is in town and needs me. Her little girl calls me grandma and I am not her grandma and by the way, the ex doesn't want my son back. She just loved our family and to me that is a blessing. She said the one thing she hated most about the divorce was she didn't want to lose our family. His present wife split them up. I just let them know that they would have to accept my friendship with the ex because she had done nothing to hurt me. My daughter has a fit if I talk to her ex, but he is the father of my granddaughter and I am not about to cut him out of my life. I didn't like the way he treated her, but have since found out, first hand, what he was living with and I couldn't have handled it either.

There is always two sides, I just tried to remain neutral.

There are acvtually 3 sides, yours, his and the truth. When two people love each other and as time passes, get divorced, it makes me wonder why you can not stay friends. Me and my ex are friends, the break-up of the marriage was both our faults, we knew that and now we remain friends.
