Adult child living at home

morning all. I have 23yr old daughter living at home. Non verbal, baby signs, lots of grunts or pointing. Born with Cri-du-Chat Syndrome, diagnosed with Scoliosis at 18 mo, Kyphosis at 18 years, and Autisimal Delition Syndrome at 17 years. Mobile, only in wheel chair when weight drops, currently at 165 lbs and very inactive as far as exercise, but cant seem to sit still long, just doesnt move fast enough to get weight off. I started providing daycare services for children in our community when she was 8 years which has helped her develop from 18 mo tonow 3-4years mentally. Recently removed her toys (pool rings) because she chews on them to roughen up edges then digs holes or scrapes holes in her skin. Also self mutilates by picking digging and biting her skin. Would love self-entertainment ideas for her.

I also have an adult child, age 36, male, non verbal, epileptic. Responds to verbal commands, needs help bathing, cutting up food for eating, and help with toilet hygiene. My husband and I are retired ,age 59 and 61. Our son was in a group home for 13 terrible years. He has been home now for 5 years. His hygiene was neglected and his clothing was never his. We brought him home every weekend, but our visitation was limited by Social Security mandates.

We would enjoy some type of help, an evening out every now and then, but how do you get reliable help. Having a son who cannot speak and cannot tell us if there is any type of abuse, etc when we are not around. Not an easy daily life at all - if you don't have it in your life, you can't understand it. What do you do for assistance
