New beta site open to everyone

As of tomorrow morning (Wednesday), we are inviting the general public into the Eons beta site, eliminating the need for a username and password. That means you can encourage all your friends to go to: www.beta.eons.com and check it out for themselves!

On behalf of the entire Eons team, I want to thank you for taking the time to review the new site and giving us your feedback in the Whaddya Think2 group. As usual, you were very thoughtful, tested out every corner of the site, and gave us helpful suggestions that informed what we will deliver tomorrow and what improvements we should consider for the near future.

The timeline for turning on the new site and turning off the old site is two weeks from today. On February 26 everyone logging on to Eons will be on the redesigned site. I'll give you guys a heads up 48 hours before this happens. If you haven't been over to visit, try it tomorrow!

CommunityGal, thank you for the heads up on when the change will take place. I appreciate that.

I checked out the beta site this evening and I have nothing negative to say. I know that will probably shock people who have read (and remember) my other posts, but it's true: I can accept change. In fact, I like what I see. I didn't spend a lot of time looking around, but I didn't see a lot of drastic changes, and as I said, what I see I like. Once I spend more time looking, I might have suggestions of my own, but I don't see anything not to like at this point.

So, to all who contributed to the beta site, Good Job!

I loved it the profile is clean and concise with lots of room for everything with out it being jumbled up...i would
have to give Eons 3 Kudos for this change.

Interesting, got up for a middle of the night stroll, check email, got a few pm to check, and oops, there it was. The new eons was what I got, didn't ask, didn't click on anything except to read a pm and everything is lilac on eons. The beta site isn't just open, it is on.

The beta site isn't just open, it is on.

In your case, the person who sent you the private message must have done it from the beta site. So the email you received with the link to read your message points back to the beta site (ie, where the message was posted from).

Cg it's nice and very doable, we'll adjust to it. We have to everything else. Just going to take getting use to. It is nice.

Well....It sucks, as of right now anyway. The background on my profile wrecked at the moment. It can be fixed, but I am not going to write the code until the change is made.

Blog subscriptions Browse blogs

in my beta profile, far right column, the 's' in subscriptions is covered by the 'B' in Browse.

It appears the font is too wide for the column.

I'm not sure you want this stuff posted here...

maybe a thread to report beta issues in would help? you know like we have a thread to bitch in etc. !!!! i'll post this in html group as well....thanx
