Hi Jane! I left a bunch of groups last night that I had joined when I first arrived at Eons. Then I thought I'd join a group that I had more in common with. I saw that you had started this one. Now that's exciting!

I have been a "Somewhere in Time' fan since you were in the movie. I still love it and the music. "East of Eden" was great too!

I believe that our ART is very much a product of our moods. I'm sure you know the feeling as you look back on each piece you do. It is a photograh in time of where you were. I'm in one of those places in my life where I seem to make adjustments every 3 years. I took a break from my artist life to develop a successful career in real estate. Now that I have that under control I am ready to create more Art.

Anyway, I'd love to be a part of your group. There's more about me on my profile than I want to post here. Jane you are a breath of fresh air here at Eons!

Here in Oklahoma we are glad to see anyone. So not only is Ms. Seymour a 'breath of fresh air' but so is anyone that takes the time to post and let us know a little about themselves. Good for all of us....

I would agree with you about "Somewhere in Time". It was extremely bittersweet. What type of art did you create?

Hi eggroll...I have always been involved with some sort of art and even took 3 years in college jewelry design and metalsmithing. My Faces Collection paintings that I developed are on black canvas then the faces and other parts are fingerpainted with interference paint, lips and other details are built up and gold leaf added to the eyes. All the pieces are highly textured w/ acrylic in jewel tone colors. The paintings are light reflective depending on how the light is directed on the surface. I only paint images from dreams. Sometimes, I see the painting in a finished form in a dream. The figures I paint are women. My brother says they are all me...maybe my moods! He may be right.
