Maybe I can help?
I started designing tableless, CSS websites about 6 years ago. For a while it was a quite rewarding (although at times, frustrating and challenging).
After a while, it was just too much to keep up with all the newest developments so currently I'm not doing new designs, only maintaining the old ones. You can see them here if you're interested. They render properly (and hopefully still do) on IE 5, 5.5, 6 and 7, Firefox, Opera, Safari (Mac), Konqueror (and other Linux browsers), Netscape (even Netscape 4x which was quite a challenge). All the html and the CSS validates at the W3C.
Even though I'm not currently designing, I do have a lot of resources filed away here and there that might be helpful if any of you run into a problem.
