The Fibro-Pokey...

You put your left foot in, you take your left foot out
Your left foot is hurting so you shake it all about
The shaking makes your knee hurt so you just sit this one out...

Your right foot is aching and so is your right hip
You want to take a walk but you're afraid that you might slip!
You make it to the corner and limp on the return trip...

You prop up on twenty pillows when you climb into your bed
Look forward to a good sleep but there's pounding in your head
You curl up in a chair and have a cup of tea instead...
That's what it's all about!

You finally have a good day so you do a zillion things
Though you know you're gonna pay with the agony it brings
So you listen to the "Champions" song where everybody sings...
That's what it's all about!

I think I'm slap-happy. Was working on a little project, a lizard jump on my head and I hit myself in the head with the hammer on the backswing. Don't think it knock any sense in and hope to God it didn't knock any out. I'm getting the ice-pack again...I have a headache!!

OMG nanaflower you are soooo funny. Have you been living in my house or what? We can sooo relate to that song. How are you with a video camera? You should video yourself singing that song and put it on Utube so we can watch it for inspiration. I would do,but I don't have a video camera. Ok....I am trying to take my last Christmas tree down and you guys keep interupting me!

Yeah, my entire life is an operetta! I have a song about everything. I've been much too serious the last few days!! Unbalanced doesn't mean you have to give up on well-balanced!! Now, if I can figure out a way to keep the ice pack on my head I'm going to go vacuum up the litter my cat kicked everywhere. The song for that goes, "Oh, why does my kitty have to be so shi..y? Except for the hairballs she acts so pretty..."

rofl...nanaflower, you are hilarious....thanks for the laugh tonight....it's not my feet that are hurting me...it is my neck and shoulders...so, guess I'll have to put my left arm out and shake it all about......but, if I dooooooo, it'll hurt like crazy....I'm just living each day till it stops hurting so bad again....but laughing sure helps my feelings, girl....keep up the good work.........

I haven't thought of the hokey pokey in Eons..lol..I love your version much better and we can certainly all relate..Thank goodness we haven't had a contest for best story teller because I think you would take the prize~

Take care of that headache and kitty litter....

Hi Nana,
You are so funny, I loved this as I can sure relate to.
We do some line dances at our Christan Singles Dance.
No way do I do that dance w/them, but it's fun...I
think I will copy this and pass it around, should be fun.
Every one is amazed that I can dance period because
of FMS and OA,O..inflammatory arthritis, ect. Actually it's helped my
bone density and my pain, emotional issues and I so enjoy the people
who love me enough to admire my determination to stay as fit
as I can...a little common sense goes a long way, I am aware

Oh, Nanaflower, you are adorable! Your fibro-pokey made me laugh so hard I could hardly reply. I think I'll forward it on to friends/family who still don't really grasp what "it's all about".
