WI Survivor

This comes from my friends in WI, having lived there for 7 years its a great laugh
Survivor Wisconsin Style:

Due to the popularity of the "Survivor" shows, Wisconsin is planning to do its own, entitled "Survivor - Wisconsin Style"....

The contestants will start in Milwaukee , travel up to Sheboygan and on to Manitowoc and Green Bay . Then they will head over to Wausau and up to Rhinelander and Minocqua. From there they will proceed up to Ashland and Superior . Then back down through Hayward , Rice Lake , Balsam Lake , Chetek, over to Eau Claire and all the way down to Madison and back over to Milwaukee .

Each contestant will be driving a pink Volvo with New York license plates and a large bumper sticker that reads:

Go Giants!
Hillary in 2008.
Deer hunting is murder.
Brett Favre is Gay.

The first one that makes it back to Milwaukee alive wins

That's very funny, particularly for a life long Wisconsin resident like me.

But I don't think Hilary is anywhere near as unpopular here as the author of this joke seems to think. Wisconsin tends to lean a bit to the left, but is mostly moderate. I've got lots of friends who love her and they're not afraid to say so. And I've got other friends who don't like her at all and they're not afraid to say so, either. North of me is Dane County which is traditionally very liberal. To the east of me is Walworth county which is traditionally very conservative. Senator Russ Feingold, one of the most liberal members of the US Senate was born and raised in my home town. Congressman Paul Ryan, one of the more conservative members of the House who usually sides with Bush was also born and raised in my home town.

I've got friends on both sides so I just smile and try to avoid political discussions. :-)
