back to the drawing board....

I stopped painting after my son was born twenty two years ago. I decided to pick up a brush last summer. I thought to myself...well heck, I don't care if I'm not any good, I am just going to do it. And I did. Some people like my work, some don't. But that's not why I oil paint. It is such great pleasure and sometimes a great challenge. Time becomes lost and hours fly by. The joy of a painting coming together is fantastic. The frustration of screwing things up is not. But the good thing about oils is that I can white it out with Gesso and start again.
