Cholesteral

i'm interested in lowering cholesteral naturally. Are any of those supplements like plant sterols worth the time and money?
There are two things you can take that will cost you a lot less, and have every bit as beneficial an effect, if not more.

First, milled flaxseed - and do use the meal and and not the whole seeds, even if you have to grind the seeds yourself, because whole, they'll just pass through your digestive system intact. Flax is loaded with heart healthy omega three fatty acids, and will bring down your total cholesterol and your LDL (bad cholesterol) levels. I use two to four tablespoons a day, either sprinkled over my cereal or oatmeal, or mixed in with yogurt or my salad. And it has a nice, nutty flavor, so you won't even mind taking it!

Secondly, cinnamon supplements. People with diabetes and related conditions have long known that cinnamon has a regulating effect on blood glucose levels. What fewer people know is that it reduces serum cholesterol as well. GOOD STUFF.
