Iowa

It's almost a three way tie in a record Democratic turnout. Obama has enough of a lead to win, but it's razor close.

It's like saying any Democrat will do.

I'm flipping channels, they are calling Obama, Edwards, and Clinton. Some pundit said this puts Edardws out because of money even though he was a close second! I was outraged, MONEY, that is the deciding factor? Reform time!

What's outstanding is that 130,000 Democrats caucused and 80,000 Republicans. Large numbers of younger voters and Independents voted for a Democrat. Iowa is now a Blue State.

I hope the large number of Democrats or anti-Republicans who came out in Iowa is a good sign. That celebration party we thought we could have in 04, when Al Gore won......well, maybe we can have a REAL HUGE party November 08! Can you imagine the cabinet of a Democrat Whitehouse, no matter who wins? My mind is running wild at the thought. I'd like to see Dennis Kucinich in there somewhere. Will Opra be there? Wild speculation for now, but fun to think about.

I thought Edwards' speech tonight was immensely better than Hillary's. He may have come in second, but I think tonight did him well, money or no money. Yes, any democrat will do, but we have to be sure that we have a democrat who can win (Huckabee was impressive tonight too). As of right now, Obama hasn't spoken yet. I'm looking forward to hearing what he has to say tonight.

I agree Okim, I felt like JFK has risen! I noticed too the beam on Elizabeth's face as she listened. You can't fake that! That woman has to beliveive in this man, think about all she's gone through. I read her book, she is a strong woman, not some dutiful wife.

Whether or not your chosen candidate won in Iowa, the evening was clearly a Democratic victory.

Message to "Bush's brain": For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. In seeking to create a permanent Republican majority, Karl Rove, you just may have created your nemeses, instead, swelling Democratic ranks.

130,000 dems to 80,000 Republicans. That is the news I am excited about this morning. Haven't heard it from the media yet.
