RT's and RTO

Jeez, bunch of REMF's here? Just kidding, every body had a hooch somewhere-LOL
RT=Radio telephone, the CO of a fild unit never, ever went anywhere without the RTO following just behind. He was the Radio Telephone Operator. The CO would call in when needed BUT every morning, he had to call in a morning report..
That, would initiate the daily big 5. I know, let me tell you:
Pick up the mail
Drop off the mail
Ammunition, whether you needed it or not
a HOT meal (could be anything)
Clean uniform

There was other stuff too, especially a field med unit, but the Big 5
Would arrive anytime of night or day.

Never mind

Yeah, I am a REMF and a proud one too.

Some one had to fix and maintain those large R's and T's that contacted the states to keep you guys in parts, food and ammo so that you could stay in the field chasing Charlie.

class of 67 RVN ;>))

I am so happy that some one else told emom what a REMF was, next she will probably want to know what a FNG is.
