Misadventure Update

Misadventure is a mild word here. Still on the road. Broke down 31 miles from home, on a mountain with thousand of trucks wizzing by, about 11 miles outside of Tehachapi. Sat there for 5 hours before we got towed into town. Tow truck driver pulled us to a park so we at least had utilities. Extremely cold, could start snowing any minute. Truck still broken, trying to figure out what is wrong. Steve's brother says it's probably the igition module, but he's in San Francisco. Steve has to go out and see if he can figure it out with Bill over the phone. If it's not something simple, not sure what we will do. Bill will probably have to rent a truck and come and pull us to Barstow, since we don't have the money for it. We're just kinda stuck here atm, cold and sicker than we were. We're trying to stay sane, but....

Thanks, I didn't even tell ya'll the rest of the bad crap, that was just the main stuff. This is insane, rediculous, we both just want to cry. So exausted last night that we were in bed by 8 with trains going by blowing their stupid horns every 10 minutes all night long.

When do you think you might have an update for us? GMAW has Annabelle today and put me in charge of making sure you were okay, and I don't know how to do it.
I wish I had a big wad of money to send and I don't have that either.
I have to dash for a few minutes and will check back in awhile.

I'm so sorry everything has "gone down the tubes" when you're so close to home. And in the cold too! At least you have your stuff with you, that has to help a bit. Just remember my favorite saying, and it really is true...."this too shall pass". Soon you'll be kissing the walls of your home and this will just be a bad memory. In the mean, stay "cool", keep your chin up, and say "shit" where no one can hear you (that's what I do).

Miss ISA...my grandma says to tell you she'll be in to encourage you as soon as she's finished taking care of me. In the meantime I hope my smile keeps you and Mr.Steve warm....I had some bad adventures too...but look where I am now! I just know you'll be ok. A tiny baby hug from me to you. Annabelle

What a mess, mess, and more mess. There is nothing wrong with hugging each other and crying. Done it a few times, sooner or later one comes up with a joke and the skies clear.
Meanwhile, keep warm, take your cold medicine. We'll be praying the skies don't blanket you with snow. Within a few hours or days, at the most, you've got a new home, warmth, all that love you both have. It will be okay. I'm thinking warm and loving thoughts towards you.

I wish I could send you a big pot of my famous chicken soup to make you and Steve feel better. Been through some rough spells over the years, but they always seem to get better, eventually. I'm sure it wouldn't be so hard to cope with if your health weren't down the tubes right now, so try to rest as much as you can, and try and imagine the huge hug I'm sending your way. Things will start looking better when you are feeling better which I hope is REAL soon!!!
