Book Discussion Selections...

Here are the books that you voted on to be discussed. They are in no particular order. I do, however, try to choose two books that are somewhat dissimilar for each month to account for individual tastes.

Remember that January will be a hiatus month. We will have a discussion in January on Bill Benner's book, My Sister's Keeper. I will check with Mr. Benner on the exact date, but it will be held on his website and will be a live chat.

Hi,
New mwmber as I just joined the other day.
"The Devil In White City", what a read. After reading it I wnt to the Chicago Tribune and also the Chicago Historical Society to look up some of the stories relating to Holmes as he was sometimes known.

The place where his building was located has long ago been torn down and the area where it was located is in a bad neighborhood now. Lots of gangs,drugs, street crimes going on.

But he was some kind of guy, he would lure women with a promise of jobs, marriage, then kill them, burn their bodies and then tell their families that they went to London or Ireland for a job .

One of the most prolific serial killers of all time.

A very good read and the scary part is that's it's all true.

Hi I just joined your group and just finished reading "Love In The Time Of Cholera" and really enjoyed it and am now planning on buying another one of the authors books titled
The Story of a Shipwrecked Sailor. It sounds like it will be very interesting. Has anyone out there read this book? And what are your thoughts about it? Thanks Puzzlegirl
