You know what's good for that hair that embeds in furniture-a pair of rubber gloves....the kind with ribbed fingers that you use to wash dishes with. Just wipe the furniture in one direction with the glove on your hand. Then vacuum up the hair that comes loose.

I bought a couch (two of them) made out of the ugliest dark gray material that looks like Elephant hide. It is feels like it too. But it doesn't collect dog hair or stains. Water rolls off of it. I've tried to vaccum up the dog hairs but there never is any. They just don't stick. It is new, very comfortable and has a recliner at both ends. I love these couches. They might be ugly but nothing hurts them and they match the room since I have pale gray walls. But the burgandy carpet going up the stairs is a difficult project to clean. (I have oak laminated floors) so we went to the Orick store and bought an Orick Ironman. It is light weight and powerful. It vaccummed up all the dog hair on those stairs like it was nothing. I'm very happy with it.
Hey Bel, is that the one that picks up the bowling ball? I've always wondered if they were as good as they advertised.

Different dogz, different hair. My grand-dog, Doowy, is a jack russell. His hair is course and seems to have "barbs" on the ends. The guy that detailed my car once said he wouldn't do it again...it took him two hours to get the jack russell hair out of the seat!
You also know you have a pack of dogs when you open the back door, turn on your leaf blower and blow all the dog hair out the back door It is much faster than vaccuuming or sweeping!!
