Congress Reaches New Low!
For the first time in history of polling, Congress's approval rating has gone to single digits - 9%. Some have attributed this to their lack of action on energy, especially drilling. I wonder if they reach 0% can we pick an new congress, all senators and house members? We need a do-over.

He will announce his departure from the team Wednesday.
Then on Thursday at Chicagoland He'll formally announce a move to Haas/CNC Racing as co-owner and driver,
Haas/CNC, which fields the Nos. 66 and 70 Chevrolets, renamed Stewart Haas Racing in 2009.
Tony will b the highest-paid driver in NASCAR.(SINGLE)
Stewart Haas cars will carry different numbers. They say that Stewart will own a 50 percent stake in the organization, but his financial investment is not disclosed.
Like we had said be4 Office Depot will be a sponsor of Stewart's car.
Newman might come in that will be told also this week..
Stewart Haas will still get chassis and engines from Hendrick...
Remember ,Stewart's champion's provisional will guarantee him a slot in the field for the first five races next season, if NASCAR doesn't change the rule.
He owns multiple sprint car teams and a trio of racetracks, including Eldora Speedway.

“Just what is Happiness anyway?”
Aristotle tells us that everyone agrees that the purpose of life is happiness, but that no one can agree about what happiness is. So, in addition to Quest’s question about whether there is a relationship between happiness and economic wellbeing, I’d like to ask, “Just what is Happiness anyway?”

Another "Honor" Killing...
Been following this story out of Atlanta. The daughter was planning to divorce her husband. It was an "Arraigned" marriage.
This of course was a disgrace to the family...so the Father had no choice other than to strangle his daughter. Now he is is perplexed as to why he is charged with a crime, as this a "Religious Matter".
Don't ya just love this "Religion Of Peace...

Attention All Christians!!
This post asks no questions and expects no responses. I just want to point your attention to a series of very interesting books, for your edification and enjoyment.
I am often amazed at the depth of ignorance among (some) believers about the history of their faith. Many people seem to believe that what their church preaches came out of the mouth of Jesus, or more likely, St Paul, and has been the "unchanging truth" for two millennia, not knowing that what Christians believe today not only is the end result of disputes, controversies, and disagreements over the past 2000 years and looks nothing like the original teachings of Jesus.
The Academic division of the InterVarsity Press (their motto is "Evangelically rooted, Critically Engaged") has a series of books, available in both hard and paper covers, called "Four Views". Each volume focuses on one concept that has proven to be troublesome in the history of Christian Theology, and contain an essay by each of four contemporary scholars who hold conflicting views on that concept. Each essay discusses the history of the problems with that concept and the history of the writers preferred view. The essays will then defend the writers preferred view and try to make a case why it is preferable to the other three views being discussed in the book.
I have only just read three of the volumes in this series: "The Nature of Atonement", "Divine Foreknowledge", and "God and Time", and quite enjoyed myself. Each writer is convinced his (and for these three volumes, it is all "hes") interpretation is the one true correct view. These volumes would be a very good basis for beginning to think critically about theology and for developing your own theology.
