WOW, the Anasazi!!!!! I'd love to see that!!!! Here in Baja is a tribe called the Pau Pau, and they have declared no more children, they are deciding for extinction and will all be gone in about 20 years. That is so sad.
In the streets here there are Indian children that sell trinkets and gum; they come from Oaxaca and are beautiful. One little girl would come along last summer and she spoke Spanish, her own native dialect and a little English. We all knew that she had to hand in the toy money at the end of the day, so we asked her for lessons in her language instead of buying stuff, and she got to keep the money. I only remember one word she taught us, pronounced "Chi CHOON" and it means, "hurry up!" I love the kids, they are awesome and so much fun!!!!! They come up here to work the streets so that they will have school money when they return in the Fall.
