Good morning from the frozen north!

It was 17 degrees when I got up this morning, snowing, and blowing. I took comfort in knowing it could be worse and is north of us! I'm anxious for enough snow here to X-C ski, but that doesn't appear to be happening today. The sun is peeking out from time to time. Need to do some grocery shopping for fruit and vegs.

It was +5 when I got up this morning; now it's +10 and sunny - I walked a mile home from school at noon and it was a bit brisk, but pleasant. To me, anything at zero or above and sunny (and not windy) is fine; what I don't like is the wimpy global warming winter weather we've had so much of in the past couple of years - where it's in the 30s and humid and cloudy - that reminds me of Oregon weather and it totally sucks. Some snow would be nice, but I don't care for the icy sidewalks. I like to XC ski in our open field - I used to ski on the nearby snowmobile trail, but the snowmobiles seem to get increasingly faster (as they travel from bar to bar), so I find the trail a little dangerous now. Anyway, happy winter to all!
