I remember when I was playing on Pogo a few years ago that there would be ads for a game playing program that would pop up in the conversation area of some games. But you could not find anyone in the game room going by that name. Checked out the website and that was a expensive toy to get just so you could rack up a lot of tokens or maybe hit a jackpot. The members that got caught using it where all banned from Pogo.
i found that out to, why cheat in free games? in bingo they cheat alot and win more, one person that was playing won 10 games in a row, sounds fishy huh? i play because its fun, meet new people some good and some not so good. im diabled so theres nothing else to do.
I play pogo all the time. It is no fun when people cheat to win.
You can always tell the ones who are using autoplay software...They are the ones with astronomical token counts. You know the ones they are in the hundred thousand millions. C'mon the only way you can get that many tokens is if you play 24/7/365...
Granted I have 9 million worthless tokens (I generally refer to them as points) but I've been playing on Pogo since 2002!

Now, just a cotton-pickin' minute here. My husband has a Club Pogo account that I also use. We have over 18 million tokens, and never cheated one second.
Autoplay programs just play when you're not on it. That's not nice, granted. BUT--
There is no program that can make you win at bingo, poker, or any other such game. If somebody gets bingo 10 times in a row, it is no more a cheat program than getting bingo 10 times in a row in a bingo parlor is. Unusual? Yes. Cheating? No.
The accusations of cheating are usually sour grapes. The real examples of cheating involve the illegal token websites, and those will get you kicked off Pogo.
I hate to burst your bubble, but there ARE programs that can be used to cheat with. It was no sour grapes that the people who were caught using the illegal progams at bowling were kicked off the league and had their pogo memberships revoked.
Wow! This is funny in a sad way. People cheat on Pogo??? Who would have thought people needed to stoop so low?
Yeah, like all those tokens are really worth anything. I could see cheating if you were competing for money not tokens. The chances of actually winning a jackpot doesn`t make cheating seem worthwhile to me....
I hate to burst YOUR bubble, but the overwhelming majority of cheating accusations are completely unfounded. In case you didn't notice, I did NOT say that there are no cheat programs. And when such things do happen, they are detected, as you yourself admit, and the players banned.
I'm not heartbroken about this, because I know that the operators of Pogo are honest, and do everything in their power to keep the site honest. I AM heartbroken over the fact that there are people who accuse anyone who has a winning streak or a lot of tokens of using a cheat program, just as they've been doing on this forum here. 10 bingos in a row? You "must" be using a cheat program. Having a good day at poker? You "must" be using a cheat program. Have a lot of tokens? Cheat!
That truly is sour grapes, and it happens far more often than any actual cheating.
I'm also wondering why you are so "heartbroken" if the people were caught and dealt with. You ought to be proud of Pogo for doing the right thing.
I was heart broken because it was during league play...with people I thought I knew better than the other players on pogo, with people I had come to consider as friends.
I love pogo...I play everyday...I quite frankly don't care how many tokens a person has. I didn't make any false acusations. My only reason for posting was to alert other players that cheating was possible and did occurr. My most sincere apologies if I stepped on anyones toes.
