Hello

Just joined and not quite sure what I should say. I have been divorced for almost 20 years, kids grown and gone (mostly). I work in a young urban clothing store and rarely meet any people my age. I have lived in Michigan for almost two years (2 in Feb) but due to the demands of my job (60 + per week and commute) I have meet no one here. Ok, enough whinning. Where do older people go in the Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo area?

Speak up! Don't be shy!

I have no answers to your questions, sorry, but your email reminded me of an area of the country that I remember fondly. I graduated from WMU. I also went to college in Grand Rapids for the first two years. The area is beautiful; the winter weather is brutal.

While at WMU, I worked at Jacobson's. Is it still there? Sometimes I still wish that I could experience Autumn in K-zoo once more.

I have lived in southern California for decades now. It is nice here, yes, but the seasons are not the same as in Michigan.
