Barack Obama's Speech at the JJ Dinner
If you missed it, this is Barack's speech at the Jefferson Jackson Dinner last night. It was a magnificent speech!! The enthusiasm in the room was phenominal. When he was introduced at the beginning of the dinner..as all the candidates were, and brought up on stage..the supporters erupted in a long, very loud chorus of 'FIRED UP - READY TO GO'. You could see the look on all the other canidates and Nancy Pelosi's face. They were totally unprepared for such a display. No other candidate got such a vocal outpouring from the crowd Someone mentioned on the blog that there were 8,000 people there..3000 were Obama supporters. And check out that huge red Obama sign!
Also, Obama had a parade and marching band marching up to the dinner..Barack and Michelle walking amoung them! Obama was the last to speak, around 1 am if I remember right, but WOW was it worth the wait!
