MMM's Morning Mountain telegraph. 11/6 I hate the time change! Please note that I am a little more laid back about it this morning...Not yelling but I still might!
The latest gossip has it that the baddie up the road is still around even tho I've not seen him. Seems he heads out in the opposite directions to keep away from the idiots below me. He uses a route that takes miles out of his way just to get to the little two pumper grocery store.
Also I was alerted to the fact somebody is running up and down holler after dark stealing gas. Today is election day and I vote at a nearby all volunteer fire station. I can't wait til I go there and hear all the world's gossip...all the world in this instance consists of Owsley County proper.
The storms that were dancing and playing around have finally moved on. Rain guage shows 1", but I cannot check for wind damage til after day light...How much you wanna bet the canvas two seater is in the pond again? I know where the stakes are to hold it down but dare not try to get to them. At least not til it gets a lot colder...Stake are under a folded tarp and snakes just love those cozy warm places.
Between storms, the chat box was busy last nite...we even had a visit from our favorite painful thorn in the side...that imp in human disguise, Marvinll. I had Broom standing by just in case he got out of hand...and I threatened to thump him he misbehaved... Gotcha Marv!
And then The Garymeister had to complain about his hat being stuck to his head with thumbtacks. Seems like the wind was so strong out his way that it kept blowing hat off. Seems to me that a long scarf over the top and tied in a cute bow under his chin would have served the same purpose and been a lot less painful. Have you ladies noticed that while men are cute and cuddly they ain't always too bright? Gotcha Gary!
Then there's the matter of me being a polite but but nosy smoker. Been bopping to the music from Gary's library. Thru my back out of whack...Found muscles I didn't even know I had! Sheesh! Had company, went out on porch to smoke (see, I told you I polite) put my ear to key hole so's I didn't miss anything...finished cig...tried to straighten up...Doc says back'll be better in about two weeks. It's all Gary's fault!
