Not to worry oldguy, you will make up for it today, I'm sure!!!
:~)
You pissed!!!
Well let me tell you what pissed me off yesterday. Never knew this, why I wasn't taught this in high school is a mystery to me.
A bushel of wheat weights 60 lbs. A bushel of corn weights only 56 lbs.
Why? A bushel is a bushel, is a bushel; is it not?????
Sleepless night, I've given thoughts of going out and hanging myself for having not been taught this in high school. Blame it on the school system.
Everyone and everything is to blame but me.
On the other hand if a student today was denied such information and found out about it they would go in and shoot some fellow students and the teacher. Problem solved.
Ok iamwhoiam; before I join your group and storm my old High School, I want to get the physics straight on this grain vs bushel problem.
Is a bushel of corn different from a bushel of wheat because the density is different in the grains themselves, thus making the volume of the bushel the same and the weight different? Or does the farm bureau use different bushel volumes for the different grains thus making the weight different for every grain based the fact that the volume is not the same.
I’m getting pissed off just thinking about this.
I’ve lived in the same area all my life so I am within striking distance from my old High School.
You make the call
Guys, guys, guys... Don't think of violence - it never solved anything. Simply find yourselves a good lawyer and sue the teacher and the school board for not teaching you this very important information. And, if you can think of anyone that might have deeper pockets, sue them too! See how easy it is??
Ah - so a bushel is volume not weight - interesting

My mother used to tell me that she 'loved me a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck". Now, my question. Are a bushel and a peck the same thing? OR, is 'abushelandpeck' one word? Do they weigh the same? Would one describe a 'bushel' as a 'peck'? ....just wondering...ddtop

Of course this is why a pound of feathers isn't as heavy as a pound of bricks. I'm with aries on this subject, I'm calling my attorney as soon as I get off the computer because I am sure if I think long enough I can come up with something that calls for a lawsuit that will tie up the court system for years. LOL
whims:
Weight or Volume that is the question Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous questions. Or take up arms against thine own High School and as I did ages ago to sleep, perchance to dream through my classes an learn nothing – ay there’s the rub
I'm really at a loss on this one and my former high school became a senior citizens center....perhaps they knew I'd be looking for them someday. Isn't this a weighty response?

We’re guys the first thing we do is think violence. (Testosterone) is a Bit--.
I’m not saying your idea doesn’t have merit. But to a guy there's nothing better then a good ass whippen.
Providing it’s not your own ass getting whipped.
