The damages, the cleanup and the recovery and rebuilding are ongoing and will be for years to come.
More people have been helped by faith based and volunteer groups than have been helped by the Government.

Hi, I watched the pictures and am very impressed, nature can be so cruel and powerfull. The rebuilding will take a lot of time and money.

Thank you so much for posting pictures of Katrina. My family's heritage originates from New Orleans. General Russel Honore, who headed up the Katrina rescue mission , is my cousin, as well as Jeff LeDuff, the Baton Rouge Chief of Police.
