I'm thinking we're all over 50 and there's not that much difference between any of our ages on this site at least. Do you have a span that you consider? People can be mature at an early age or may never make it no matter how old they get. I figure our pictures help weed out "inappropriate" contacts.
Age, at this stage of the game, is not the issue...trust me on that (unless you are planning to have his baby). There are too many really important issues to dating than the year we were born. I have dated men much younger and men older than I and the goodness in the man has nothing to do with his vintage.

I don't think it's that important to put down age (I'm 57 by the way), I enjoy talking to people of every age, and age IS just a number anyway, the only criteria I use to decide to post a reply is if I'm interested in what people are saying. There were some people at this site that were constantly requesting age, sex and marital status on every posting, but I personally don't care (I'm male by the way) and I enjoy talking to the other males actually (comparing notes you might say). It seems posting like,... from male, 57 yrs old, single looks like I'm mostly interested in ,... WHAT? So you see my age or my sex and don't talk to me because I don't meet what you had in mind? That's no fun..

I agree totally.. And those that do not have a picture should post their gender as well.

I think the system works pretty good. You read a post and if it interests you, click the name and there is the profile. age,sex, city. Then they can add picture and more details. Then if you don't like what you see....don't respond!
I would not want to have to scroll through all that just to read what they say.
Plus, some people are shy. They have a choice of what they disclose and you have a choice to respond. Best of both worlds.
