Should A Woman

Should a woman vote for Hillary simply because she is woman?

I'll post my thoughts later - those of you who read my blog; already know how I feel on this subject.

But I'd like to get a broader response.

No! The idea that one should vote for anyone based on anything but the quality of ideas and platform is ridiculous. I am not impressed with Hillary at all, and I hope she is not the party nominee!

The question might also be asked should African Americans vote for Barack Obama because he is black. And in my opinion the answer is that neither race nor gender should play a role in this presidential election, but having said that, I know that race and gender will play a role. Because there is already allot of press about how on the democrat candidate side there is a Hispanic American, a Woman, and an African American running for president. I believe that women are as divided on Hillary Clinton as blacks are on Barack Obama. But personally I hope that people vote for ideology, values and qualifications, instead of race or gender. In my opinion we should not even vote for someone because they belong to a certain political party.

Absolutely not! Ditto goes for voting by racial/religious lines because you are black, Hispanic, Catholic, whatever.

I believe they will, just as the racial lines will not be broken in some families. The low and low middle class, regardless of race or creed or religion, will cast biased votes. Much like being for the local team. Unfortunately, it will be from being uninformed, uneducated, or just for the simple fact of not being registered to vote because of lack of interest.

OOPS! Brain fart....sorry about that ....."or just for the simple fact of not being registered to vote because of lack of interest.

That slipped in off subject, but that's another stickler of mine...and another subject.

I believe that you should vote for the best person for the job. Voting along party lines is as stupid as voting for a woman or a black just because that's what they happen to be. Aren't we supposed to be thinking about the issues and how capable someone is to do the job???

Absolutely NOT!

Parties should nominate women that act like the Great Margaret Thatcher that saved the UK from becoming another bankrupt social-fascist Argentina!

Or at least somebody like Germany's Angela Merkel, the CONSERVATIVE that is currently held as the most powerful woman in the world (in politics, I assume)

Then many men, incl. myself, would GLADLY vote for these right- and clear-thinking PERSONS.

I will NEVER EVER vote for a shameless demagogue-compulsive, pathological liar with an enemies list! Whether she is a man or a woman!
