Hi Wendy, Good to see that you've got an agent so you get spared my self-publishing tyrate.
I am at this very moment and I mean NOW, just finishing are rare read of an historical account. I've read recently 'Mutiney on the Bounty' new historical book, as well as Christopher Columbus' forth trip to the usa. but that's about it, as I read tons of self-help, marketing, an bios of entertainers and film directors.
However, right NOW I just finishing 'Devil in the White City' by Eric Larson. I only got it (in audio) because I stumbled on amazon reviews that praised the writing and I always want to learn.
It's about the Chicago worlds fair in 1893 and the killer that stalked it, true story. I was interested in the building of the fair and Mr. Ferris' first ferris wheel.
So this was a way of saying the respect that I have for a well written historic book. And right NOW I have the dvd ready to look at for a second time of photos of the fair, just to cap off the end of my 'experience of the fair.
So yes, I like historical books and movies for that matter. You can check my page for my projects, I directed 6 movies and have just finished the largest prodution in audio-book history.
Good luck with your work and believe me you are a young writer.
Paul
