Let's introduce ourselves. I think I've posted elsewhere who I am: Jeanne G from rural CA. I work in educational technology, teaching folks around these parts how to use technology in the classroom.
I have a serious "jones" for technology. Love Mac and PC (I call myself "bi-platform"), love creating things, web design, linear thinking, etc. Worked yesterday with a group from a small K-8 school (we still have 'em around here) on web design through Teacher Web. I'm into html hand coding, html-editors (favorite DW8), Fireworks, PhotoShop, Acrobat, InDesign, Moodle, Wikis, Podcasting.
I live a wild and crazy life in rural CA. We have approx 4K people in our valley; ag, horse and wine country. 4 kids, 3 in college, one of the middle ones still living at home (he's the easy one), husband works out of town all week, home on weekends. Life is always throwing interesting things in the path - this week: grandma broke her ankle, dog ran away, water pipes froze, glass broke in garbage disposal (sliced up fingers nicely trying to get it fixed), one of the old cats not in evidence for 2 days, dog found and brought to local vet who called us to pick him up, need to pack for week-long out of town trip - oh wait, washer is broken, and so are water pipes... and Grandma only has cold water running...
I'm an avid reader, and really enjoying EONS. Joined the Bookoholics group - and the PhotoShop Help group - and started this one.
