Waterfront

I was at a concert at the BankofAmerica (Formerly BankofBoston, formerly Fleet, formerly...) Pavilion on the waterfront last night.

I used to work on Summer Street (not that long ago - I left that job just over 3 years ago). While there are still a ton of parking lots waiting to be turned into office buildings, hotels, condos and shops, the area really has changed quite a bit in that short period of time. Almost all of the Big Dig detritus is gone from the area which is really striking when you've been away for a while.

Speaking of looking nice: the greenery and fountains that they've put in along the Rose Kennedy Greenway (on top of the exits from the O'Neill Tunnel into the North End) are looking really nice. And to think that we're going to get some change back from the $20billion too! :)

Hi, welcome to the site. This week AARP had its convention in South Boston! Things are changing for the best. I don't know about the ICA not too much buzz around it. If you are around the area...the Jazz Fest -the afternoon of September 29 on Columbus Ave, at Mass Ave is a great take!

Thanks for the tip. I went to the Beantown Jazz Festival's web site view link . Wow! A really great line-up. I probably would have heard about it after it happened if you hadn't mentioned it; so thanks again. I'm already making plans to go.

I am so glad you found the site helpful. I really want this group to be a source for exchanging tips on the fun stuff to do. My work has been very busy but by October I should be back to posting something new once a week or so!

Next weekend is the Open Arts Studios in the South End. www.useaboston.com
