Howdy

Hellow. Well, my neme is Dan Cummings, I am 61 and retired 15 months ago. I live in Buffalo, (Putnam County) WV. KC8ZXH are my (tech) ham call letters. Hopeing to pass the General in a fiew months. I had a novice ticket in high school (WN8JMT), a CB license in 1963 (KN8NNN) and Popular Electronics short-wave moniter call (WPE8FXN). My CB was a moble "Gonset" that a friend gave me and all of the tubes were missing. I bought a Sam's photo-Fact, replaced all the tubes and built a base power supply for it. The antenna Was A 102" piece of #12 solid copper wire I stapled to the wall in my room. It served me well until I went in the Army in 1966. I don't presently have a CB, but plan to have one in my ham shack (under construction).

Glad to meet you, Sir..I'm thinking I should study for a no code ham license. Use my CB when I travel...Kind of disappointed in the language you now hear on it...Kind of shows the mentality of some of the users. Used to be, kids traveling with you could converse and learn new things. Not anymore. But, anyway, welcome.
