Just Checking In...

I just finished watching a video clip on Yahoo about Obama's "problems with speaking the truth". ABC is the network conducting the interview and story. I have not been watching a lot of telelvison lately. The approach to the subject of the election is way off base with how I think. The broadcasts are like Access Hollywood gone wrong. Too much information about nothing..with network window dressing...So this latest installment was of interest to me. I wanted to see what would be the focus of the report.
I found it to be quite interesting especially since I have not been right there in the moment..newscast wise.
There is a discussion about statements made on forgien policy by Obama. It seems his answers somehow indicate that he is not really capable on one hand, while on the other he really is voicing an opinion that others might share. They just would not do so outloud.
Then comes the clips of Pakastans in protest. The finger pointing to his remarks..how this is upsetting the delicate balance of world affairs...
Fade in to a shot of Castro and how dare he even suggest that our nation should try to heal over wounded relations with Cuba. I suspect some kind of talk is going to happen at the Fed's end, since Cuba has oil. Whether these conversations take place while Castro is in office or not...will remain to be seen..But if history tells the story of patterns...the idea will certainly come up. Starting the approach toward the dialouge now seems to be an indication that due time is slowly emerging.
I find it interesting that in a statement on the proper etiquette of decption towards the public...the courage a leader needs shows in Obama's statements. The idea of you know..but you won't tell the truth has gotten us into some less than desirable situations as a nation.
Truth telling has become the earmark of the new wave of American patriots and citizens at large. Obama is just the one who is leading the charge.
Wouldn't it be refreshing if the remaining field tried to follow the example? Take a stance that is made clear and plain. With leadership like that...we can get some needed problems accomplished.
