I'm a columnist, editor, reporter and freelancer in Saratoga Springs, NY. Never have been much of a joiner, but thought some conversation with others in the profession from outside my area of coverage might be fun and informative.
I am a Westerner to my soul (Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, California and Utah all places I've lived and loved) and, after 15 years in the Northeast, it's finally growing on me. Besides, if I lived in paradise, where would I go on vacation?

I write a twice monthly column on the Life cover, and have covered everything from finding art in manhole covers (The former Phoenix Gazette) to blackwater diving with a paramedic rescue group and piloting the Goodyear blimp.
