the years after a divorce in my early thirties, i went away from family and inlaws, took a job at an entirely new profession , went to college for nursing , learned I was as smart as others and also found i reallly needed a boost in my self esteem , realized Doctors even tho they are educated , are also humans have all the same feelings insecurities as the rest of us, they are very educated in their field but , not always in the rest of life, found I could communicate well with them and it was a very happy time for me
In 2003 my daughter-in-law really needed a new car.
I worked at a Chrysler dealership and they were having this big
end of year emp;oyee sale. got together with her mom, dad, step mom,
brother and sister and aunt and uncle, and of course my son, we all chipped in whatever
we could (some more than others) used my employee discount, and bought her a new
2004 PT Cruiser.
The hard part we bought it in Nov, but wanted to give it to her for Christmas, so the dealership kept it for us.At the same time I had won some "JeepBucks" at work so had to pick out the things I wanted for free, so we used that for our code word, when ever we needed to talk about the car we would talk about the Jeep Buckss. One time my daughter-in-law said "I'll sure be glad when your mom gets all those Jeep Buck spent I'm tired of hearing about them.
On Christmas Eve , my sons friend dressed like Santa and went to the nursing home where she works and ask to have them page her up front. He walked her out the door and took the keys from his bag, Will never forget the look on her face.
One of my greatest days. Of all the people who knew not one let the cat out of the bag,
School is what did it for me too. An amazing experience!
