Hey, ME,Me,me! I am part Irish, but of the very best kind. Am going out today to feast on "Corned Beef & Cabbage." Just don't plan on making a pig of myself & go home fully sufancified & happy &
belly contented. Lotuslouse.
my ex mother in law is from Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo, and my father in law was from Co. Mayo. my ex is a first generation irishman! I've been home to the farm in Sligo. It's still there to this day, although a bit updated, and I stay connected to my ex's cousin who lives on the farm.
No irish in this gal. Dad was from Romania, Mom from England, and I came to the US via Canada in 1959, being born and half raised in Canada.
I'm a combination of Irish, Scottish and English, but I identify with the Irish part the most, especially have been raised Catholic, (although I no longer participate) being a redhead and being Patti....lol
I'm wearing me GREEN today!
Me- I am a wee bit of Irish, Scotch, Dutch, Welsh, Swedish, German, and more English than anything!!! But I got my red hair from some relative in Ireland - God bless them!!! My mother calls us "The Heinz Variety"!!!
German, Irish, English and about a Fifth Scotch......
Today everyone is Irish so.....“Bless your little Irish heart and every other Irish part.(” Irish Blessing")
German, French and Cherokee is my breeding! Happy St. Pattys Day to all!
I am a day late and a corn beef and cabbage dinner short, but I AM Irish. Two grandparents were born in County Cork, and a third came from Galway. The fourth was a French/Canadien from New Brunswick, so mostly I am American. But, I was born a Murphy and I live in a town where there are many Honey Fitz's, several Riley's, O'Days and three generations of Flynns to name just a few. I think it a safe bet that fully half of this town has some Irish blood in their veins, so I was in very good company yesterday - green beer and all!
I'm Scots, Irish, English and Welsh on one side, Eastern European and possibly Moorish or Mongolian (or both) on the other. Most of us are blended. My father came from the old Doneagan clan from Ireland.
view link has some history on the old Pagan celebration which became St. Patrick's Day and the attempt of the Orangemen to stamp it out. As for me ... bring back the snakes (Druids!). :^)
I'm English, Irish, Dutch, & Scot. Lotuslouse.
