Okay SF...I'll jump into this.

I didn't read every word in either of the links, but I'll say that I think those doctors are very clever taking such a fun approach to such a serious topic. Kudos to them!

And shame, shame, shame on you for not having had a colonoscopy yet!! My OB/GYN started putting pressure on me every year as soon as I was about to turn 50 to get in & get one done. I finally got my 1st one at 52, I think it was. I've had 2 more since then - the last one just a few months ago.

People make such a big deal about them, but they're really just not that bad. The worst part is just having to drink that stuff the night before & run to the potty pretty often. But the improvement even in that over the last 10 yrs. is big. You're out when they're doing the actual procedure & I personally have had no issues afterward.

Colon cancer is one of the most curable if caught early & easily diagnosed. Everyone should be doing this!!

My doctor and I talked about it last year. He needs to write the RX for this. I'll see him next week for the preop workup for the cataract surgery. I'll remind him then.

The VA does that for me every two years. The Gov't. is still stickin' it to me. hahahaha.

Mine 6 years ago found Cancer, without that test I would be looking at the grass now from the wrong side.
The preparation is the bad part, for the test they give you the date rape drug so you come out of the test not remembering any part of it.....
As a kid the line was up your nose with a rubber hose.......LOL
Testing starting at 50 for folks with no family history of C/R CA.....

Wish my dad had the test sooner,if so he would still be here with me.
