It's a lot more than harsher winters. A couple weeks ago I experienced my 1st earthquake. Luckily it was not horrific like others that have recently happened. Extreme weather is becoming the norm. Killer waves/tsunami's?
This has definitely been one of the harshest winters that we have had in Missouri. The earthquake thingy seems to be getting out hand as well.
More snow and cold than usual. Usually even with a big storm the sone melts away in a day or two, its been so cold I have snow on my lawn that has been there for weeks.
Was at Dr. yesturday and he said there is a bacterial virus going around, and its because all of Dec, Jan, and Feb we had no warm day. Hopefully its just 3 pills is to cure it. supposed to feel wonderful by Mon.
Here in No. Central Florida it has been the second coldest February on record. For those who think global warming is a myth based on what we've experienced in No. America, though, most of the middle to lower part of the globe has experienced a warmer year than ever. Go figure.
I live in MN more snow then I seen for about 10 years and it been colder. I keep asking what going on with the weather
I am seeing some grass now but with drifts of 7 ft or more, I think it will take alot of rain and warmer weather to melt this stuff! Of course at the end of our driveway, a cul-de-sac, is where the city and our snow removal service for the townhouses put all the snow! aaarrgghhh!

Well, I'm going to report the reverse of the above. I live outside of Buffalo, NY, right in a snow belt with lake storm enhancements. The winters have been less snowy and cold over the past 10-15 years or so. We began what I term 'March' weather a week into February. I'm not going to complain; it's nice to not have to suffer miserably for 4-5 months. It didn't even snow until the end of December, where it would normally start in early November.
I live on LI in NY and I can't remember a year with more nor'easters. Terrible beach erosion.
Seems like it has not been as much snow here in the N,E., but many cloudy, rainy, light snowy days.

Here in central Washington State, east of the Cascades, it has been a pretty mild winter. We did have a week or two of extremely cold temps and a little snow. But the past 3-4 weeks have been sunny and mild, in the uppers 50s-low 60s. I've missed the "real" winter with lots of snow - snow that seems to purify things.
My heart goes out to all of you who have suffered a vicious winter.
