Hello

Just joined this group. Hoping to find lots of folk who love to travel. We have spent years traveling along the East coast on our harley. Now we want to go even farther.
Last summer we finally took the big step and bought a travel trailer. It has been a dream of mine for years now. Would love to sell the house and everything in it and hit the road. Alas, we no sooner got the trailer than we realized we picked the wrong one. We needed to get either a toyhauler or a class A. We'll just have to work with what we have. Can't wait for the weather to break so we can hit the road!
Welcome Pollianna! Hope you enjoy the group. Tell use where you have been & where you hope to go this year. We are always looking for ideas & suggestions on campgrounds along the way.

We really didn't go far last summer/fall, but we did go to a campground in the Pocono's called Tanglewood. It was so beautiful, it was on top of a mountain with a lake right outside our door. Grassy and lots of trees. That weekend was also a Native American Pow Wow right at the campground. It was by far the nicest place we were at last year. And we were alone! Our first trip out, we took 2 daughters and 5 grandkids! Add us and our dog and put us all in a 27 ft trailer! Wow! What were we thinking! We are taking some of the grandkids to Asetique this summer to see the wild ponies. The rest is up in the air for now. Can't wait!!!!

Welcome Pollianna! Glad you decided to join our little group. I think you'll find it's a wonderful lifestyle. My wife and I've been doing the motor home thing since 1998 and I thoroughly love it. We travel with 4 dogs and once upon a time cat, two fish, and 4 finches. Now it's just us and the dogs.

Most of our travels have been out west with only one trip up the east coast. There is lot's to see and do once you shed the fixed foundation for something a little more mobile. If you ever decide to do Sturgis SD I can recommend a pretty nice KOA from persona experience.

Enjoy the lifestyle and send us a picture or two of your adventures.

HI, pollianna! We're hunkered down in FL right now but will soon be on the move. Heading to Mississippi from here and then home to PA. This summer we're going to the UP of Michigan again and down to GA for a rally. Maybe a stopover in Charleston, SC to see son and friends before it's back to PA. Then it'll be time to pack up and head for FL again for the winter. Time flies! All the more reason to get out there and do it!

Funny, just this morning we were talking and planning a western national parks trip. Sturgis was on that list. Want to see it , but not during bike week. Although we do ride (a lot) we just don't get into the big bike rallies. Already started a list of stuff to get rid of .... maybe a huge yard sale and what to store. Sure this won't happen overnight, but at least I now have my hubbies attention and he is on the same page as I am. There is so much info to absorb from this group, my brain is gonna fry!
Thanks for the big welcome!!!!

Welcome to this group from me too. I don't post a lot, but every once in awhile I put my 2 cents in. We are not full timers, as husband is not yet retired, but we did a lot of camping in our 28 ft. travel trailer. We live in west Michigan and live on Lake Michigan. Most of out camping has been in Michigan's UP. The last two summers we were seasonals in a campground in the Sleeping Bear Dunes area of the Leelanau Peninsula on Michigan's west coast. Then that campground went condo lots for "high end Class A motorcoaches only." So, this year we are taking it off. No camping. But we did some traveling sans RV. Pouring the $ into our house improvements. It will all pay off when we sell the house to go full time RV. And we will. It's just a matter of time. If you need any info on camping in Michigan, I can help. We have pretty much been to, or heard about, all of the campgrounds in MI. Glad you can join the group.

Hi
I highly recommend Sturgis during bike week. I'm not a bike person but had so much fun last year. So many bikes to admire and the crowd was not rowdy, it really was quite pleasant. Go see Mt. Rushmore and the fabulous Indian museum while you are there. Have fun...
