I know several couples with that large an age gap. They are very happy. I think you are truly a match, then age will not be a problem. The sad part is that the younger one will generally be left alone that much longer at the end.

Well, I've discussed this with a good friend and we both think that sure it can work no matter the age difference, but as women/and mothers, we couldn;t see dating someone too young..we just thought that was ugh.. - just in our opinion mind you...when say a woman has a 16 year old child/kid at home and the boyfriend is not much older....oh that gives me the willies, and makes it really bad on the kid. But, if there are no kids to freak out at home and you are compatible, get along well why not ? Love is funny that way and if it works, it works.
but me personally, I've got an age hangup - ya gotta be at least 40! Just my preference ! And that's still kinda young....or not...oh I dont know (let see how old is johnny depp ????)

All I am going to say is no matter which way - the woman who is a cougar or the man who is dirty old letch I find it distasteful. I have seen it both ways and all it is about is sex. Life is more than sex.
I have no problem with it. Personally I can't picture wanting a younger man, gosh I didn't even want them when I was young..lol.
A couple that we are close with has been together for 44 years and the husband is 18 years older than his wife. I can't envision being with a man that much younger. Not sure what I would have in common with someone a lot younger so I don't think that it's for me.
I have to say, love doesn't know bounderies, "but," for myself, I don't think I would like being with someone who doesn't have a similar history. There was a time I would have said I would love to have someone like Fred Astair as a partner and no matter the age difference, he would be interesting. Most of the time what really interests me is if the man is a good listener. That is the sexiest thing a man can do/be. Blessings...sam
My sister married a man much younger then her but he eventually left her for a woman his own age. Broke her heart too.
