I love Italy
We took our sons traveling in Italy as a college graduation gift in 1989, and I've been longing to return ever since!
My husband has, in a way. He's a novelist and is writing a book whose protagonist is a young woman living in 17th century Rome. So he is armchair traveling to Italy every day.
For our next trip to Italy, whenever that is, we will be going to Venice, and then on to Gorizia, in the far most northeast corner of Italy. My father-in-law was posted there at the end of WWII, and we want to see the places about which he has told so many stories.
