Dysfunctional....

Used to be when I looked up dysfunctional in the dictionary I saw my family tree now I see the U.S. Senate. Is the current Senate so dysfunctional that they have become dangerous as Paul Krugman alleges? view link

Unfortunately, in order to put the Genie ( 60 vote filibuster buster ) back in the bottle, it would take 67 senate votes. Democrats can't even count on 57 votes.

I am glad that other people are finally taking note of what has been going on for at least 30 years now . This is NOT something new . Our Congress is a cesspool of morally bankrupt thieves .

I remember the days of the old fillibuster rules and think we ought to go back to them. Under the old rules business stopped and could not move forward until the filibuster was broken, nor did they adjourn for the day. Senators didn't use it very often especially when it meant they had to talk forever....

Wasn't some old family recipes usually included in those back then in the day? Reading from the bible could go on and on for hours. Sort of like a 5 day cricket test match.
