ONE DOG

So, Mia has convinced me this only dog thing isn't working for her at all. She loves to play with any and all types of dogs. She is happiest at the dog park, running free and wagging with other dog friends. She lays on the couch looking out the window so she can see any dog walking by, then doesn't bark, just jumps up, starts wagging, I let her out and she whines and wags at the fence.
So, we are making plans to visit Best Friends Animal Sanctuary the first week of the new year. I have supported them for years, have volunteered there often, this time I am coming home with a pal for Mia. I am smitten with Scruffy, Brie, and Romo. But ultimately Mia gets to pick.

Donna, I read each dog's sad story. All three of them are as cute as can be and they all need a home. After reading about each dog, to me Scruffy has the saddest story and mifhg be the one that I chose because he is soooo needy. You are a wonderful person and could give him what he needs so much. But as you said, Mia had the final choice. It will be interesting to see which dog comes home with you.

When I chose another "pal" for my dog I take them with me and see who they enjoy playing with the most. It has worked well so far
Now that I have 4 ,however, I must bring the "newbe" here. Some places will allow this, especially if they know you well.

This is so exciting! I love it that Mia gets to have the last say! That is so wonderful that she gets to participate in picking out her new sibling. I'm sure all of the dogs are wonderful. I look forward to finding out Mia's choice and seeing pictures of the blessed new family member. I'm sure Snickers would be pleased to know that her life was so special that you need a new member to fill the void that she has left in her passing.
