This may be you if...

Do any of these statements describe you?
• You have more than one cycling catalog strategically placed in the bathroom.
• You consider the schedule of the Tour de France when planning your summer vacation.
• Frankly, you have some rather odd-looking tanlines.
• You keep your your bicycle in the living room.
• All the dudes who work at the local bike shop recognize you.
• You have actually waited for an Italian bicycle manufacturer's slow-loading and overdone Flash web intro to load.
• Your non-cycling friends can neither believe the amount you ride, nor do they understand why.
• You have no non-cycling friends.

Yep, that would be me. Well, except that my bikes have their own bedroom. And, I bought an old Surburban to haul them, lovingly called the Rolling Bike Barn. And, if anyone breaks down on a ride they look at me. And, if anyone forgets anything they go to the back of my car. And.....need I say more?

Everything applies to me except the last statement. I am a cycling standout here in "pickup country" :) ... I've made a few converts except sopme of them still feel the need to wear a pair of conventional shorts over their spandex LOL

OMG...I do plan my vacations around the tour. I will not stay with you if you don't get Versus! My bikes usually live in the garage, but they have had a home in the family room. I bought a pick up and put a topper on the back so my bike can ride inside. I even made my own bike holder thingy to keep it stable. Funny tan lines? Of course.

I do get the odd look and comments such as, "You don't ride on the street, do you?" from people who haven't a clue.

Do the guys know me at the bike store? Yes, I taught the owner's son!

Spin, you've got a lot of us pegged, don't you! I also keep my Bicycling magazines in the bathroom!

Frenzy, I live in "pickup truck country" as well so I don't have a bunch of riding friends.

And I'm like you, Dave, neighbors and non-riding friends just don't get it. And I wear "knit-back" gloves. The really leave a strange speckled effect on the back of my hands. I never strap my gloves closed so you only see the tanned dots on the back of my hands. Get some strange looks at the grocery counters, etc.

I've got a huge garage so that's where my bicycles stay. I've got them hanging on hooks by their front wheels.

Own bedbroom, teesiea? Do you have a girls and a boys bicycle?

I always get comments like "You don't ride out on the highways do you?" as if I'm some fringe-like cycling nut!

I am not as hooked as some, but our family of five owns a total of 12 bikes. We live in a place where commuting by bike is easy; good climate, snowplowed bike trails etc. I went to school in Erie, but have not been back in years. The bikes have replaced the car in the garage. I spend more time than I care to maintaining them all. I am retired and everyone else is too busy. Best wishes for the holidays.

Nah, Cacci. They aren't too terribly spoiled. They do have to share a bedroom!
