Let's not forget that the Great Communicator will likely be remembered in history as one of the top five Presidents, certainly in the top ten, of all time.....

He led the tax reductions that brought us back from stagflation (yes, I remember Jimmy's boondoggle quite well).....military personnel (including me at the time) loved him because we got pay raises that brought us up a bit higher than the poverty level, where we had been for some time.....Communism died as a result of his leadership.....

Perfect? Hardly. But because of him, we were not ashamed to be AMERICANS.....

Let me disabuse of the concept that Communism died because of Reagan. What about Lech Walensa? What about Carter's doctrine? The seeds for the dissolution of Communism were sowed before his REIGN and by people other than him. How quick we forget.

Reagan is one of the most over-rated US Presidents . Under his " leadership" the USA went from being the largest creditor nation in the world to being the largest debtor nation in the world and the pattern of government connivance in the dismantling and shipping overseas of our industry was begun . He also started the still current practice of inventing bogus enemies to invade in order to keep the defense budget irrationally high and ensure massive profits for the military industrial complex . Yes , one Hell of a record .

What a great country we live in though, everyone is certainly entitled to an opinion. Some even have the opinion Bush and company planned and executed the World Trade Center attacks, despite the huge number of people from many parts of the world that would have been involved. Aren't those who believe that theory called truthers?
