London Street Scenes - 1903

Filbert, this video is very interesting. I especially love the double-decker, horse-drawn buses. Traffic appears to be very heavy too. No lanes for traffic, just a free-for-all. No stop lights either! I also liked the advertising signs. I noted Nestle's and Lipton. All things considered, not much has changes, just more people and more vehicles. Thanks for this video.

WOW!
Yes the advertising signs were interesting, must have been the main form of advertising back then. The organized chaos on the streets with the weaving in and out of both carriages and pedestrians was interesting also! This reminded me of the traffic in Bangkok, ( with the British influence quite noticeable) there was organized chaos there too.

I'm amazed the are so many of the products still around. All that traffic and horses! Poor guys that had to clean up the streets.

"Organized chaos", what a perfect description. It is a great video. Oh, and did you notice how people, mostly gentlemen, walked in the streets in and out of the carriages, threw the horse droppings and all?
The dust at times must have been choking. What a great view of life back when!
