Seems they have recast Tucker McCall already! I really like William Russ too. I found this on another sited.

In a stunning turn of events, The Young and the Restless has announced that they have recast the new role of billionaire, Tucker McCall, with Stephen Nichols, who is best known for his role as Patch on Days of our Lives!

The show told TV Guide that they appreciated the acting of William Russ, who has just begun airing on Y&R, however, they have decided to take the role in another direction!

Stephen will first air on January 27, 2010. Soaps.com wishes William Russ all the best in his future endeavors, and welcomes Stephen to the role!

I really liked William Russ, too. Thought he had great chemistry with Jess Walton. But I'm also a really big Stephen Nichols fan. I could see him playing this role. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

Hmm, I just don't see Stephen Nichols paired up with Gloria and Jill, but then they did say they were going in a different direction. This is going to be interesting!

I don't know Stephen Nichols so I can't really say how it will be with him replacing Russ. I hope that we don't lose the character that we had already started to like and I hope that he does have chemistry with Jill. Not sure where they would have him paired with Gloria since she is married to Jeffrey......not that that would stop Gloria....haha! Just hope they don't go with some more craziness as there is already enough of that on the show now. I am really getting frustrated with the storylines that are going on.

Stephen Nichols played Patch on Days of Our Lives. He only had one eye and wore an eye patch. He was kind of schrungy (sp.?). I just don't see him as the billionaire type. Now, about Gloria. I remember she and Jeff got divorced when she was in jail, but I don't remember them remarrying. When did that happen? I had read that Jill and Gloria were going to be fighting over Tucker. Gloria is in love with "money" and chases after whomever she thinks has it. This recent announcement about Stephen Nichols states that they are taking the character in a different direction, so....maybe Gloria won't go chasing after him.

I think YR should have kept William Russ and then if they think that he could not cut with the new direction then bring on a new actor.
