Aren't those Scholastic fairs great?! Ours had very few adult books but I was really there looking for Christmas gifts for my grandchildren. Of course I spent more than I had intended (isn't that always the way when books are in front of me?!) but the kids will love them and I think the local PTSA makes something on it too. Ours also had stocking stuffer-type non-book gifts (a few), and some computer games.
Scholastic holds clearance sales twice a year (Dec., May) at their warehouses. The 50% off prices make it easy to stock up. Most of their books are for kids and Young Adults but they do stock some adult books.
