AM OFF TO PHOENIX.....

Off to Phoenix tomorrow to celebrate grandson's graduation from ASU in computer science. We'll also get time with our two great-granddaughters.

Taking along Alice Munro's TOO MUCH HAPPINESS. KINDRED IN DEATH is too heavy!

I guess its graduation time. We leave on Thrus to see our eldest daughter get her Phd. You have a great time Rapa! I'll be taking my small and light Pocket e-reader.

Why, bless your heart, rapa, indeed, wherever would you get such an idea, right, bopeep? rotflmao What's that saying, while the cat's away.... :x

Have fun! And rapa, now you made me curious, I don't remember Kindred in Death being a large book, but probably it's larger than the other one you're taking?

Have a wonderful celebration with your grandson. I also took a heavy book with me on a trip to Palm Springs last week. Under The Dome was so heavy, I didn't dare put it in the luggage for fear of going overweight.

You don't want to see Under The Dome in the large print...a real hernia maker!

rapa... let me know how you like Too Much Happiness... my sis & I both read the first story and decided to skip the rest... depressing... I think she wrote the book as a cure for 'too much happiness'... lol

congrats to the graduates and familes... enjoy!

carci so far I've only read the first story. Indeed it's depressing but as a former psych nurse I found it fascinating. When traveling I find short stories great to fill brief periods of time.
