Magic Circle for HippieGirl

I think today we should all give a big thank you to HippyGirl who for as long as I've been in this group has been giving devoted attention almost each and every day to our cares and concerns. I'm going to send her a gift and hope all of you will do the same. If you would like to say a few words, please do. (In sales and motivation this is called a "Magic Circle"....let's surround HippieGirl with our love and thanks.

Nearly every day she stops by to say, "Hello!", give a few words of advice, share some new found knowledge, share an experience that might help us, or just let us know that she is thinking of us. Even when times were really rough when she was caring for her husband....she didn't forget us!

I'll start this "Magic Circle" by saying "Hippie Girl", I thank you for your constant caring, thru all that you have gone thru in this last year, you have never forgotten us....thank you and may what you have given all of us here at Eon's be returned to you a thousand times. I love you and thank you for being the kind, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, lady that you are. Have a great day!

Okay, I started the "gift shower" for HippieGirl by giving her a motor home so she can take a "mental rest" by just closing her eyes, climb in, and "get away" from it all. (Hey, it's amazing the places we can go in our minds....especially with a "mental motor home".) Have fun with it all...use your imaginations!!

I'm giving you a Victorian garden with comfy chairs to sit in so you can smell the roses and flowers, listen to the birds - lots of books to read and a good wine to relax with. Hope you enjoy it.

And thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support you give to us all. I don't post often but I read and enjoy and learn from all your great posts.

What a lovely idea, PhilomenaBanter .

I too want to thank you for your valuable advice, HippieGirl, and for keeping this site going. I know it must be hard on those days when no one replies, but I believe you are always heard and read. Know that you are a light in many of our hearts. Thank you so much. I wish you a peaceful Christmas.

Thank you very much for thinking of me at this time of year. It has been a hard year for me and it still is but not in the ways that it was as a caregiver. When you are a caregiver - your head is full of all the things you would be doing if you weren't tied down but as a grieving widow - I am adrift, trying to find my life again. I work but the "thrill is gone". I go to movies but I have no one to tell what the movie was about. I cook but no one is here to share with. I have my ups and downs but this magic circle is definately an "up". Thank you!!

HG -- I wish for you a summer day like when we were kids and you are out in a seemingly endless wheat field that has 2 trees in the middle. The sun is shinning with the temperature in the high 80s, and there is a gentle breeze barely strong enough to move the big maple leeves, the birds are singing and you can see a hawk making big circle in the sky whithout even moving his wings. There is a hammock hung between the trees and you get to take a peacefull nap without a care in the world.

You should write stories, Darrel...I was getting in the hammock by the time I was done.

I shared my stories because it was what i was living at the time. The other day i was looking ofr a post on basics...I forget sometimes that new members could use some basic information ...and I readover some of what I wrote in the bad days and I was reliving it. It is very hard being a caregiver...isn't it??

Hippie Girl, I too appreciate all that you have done and continue to do to help others.
I haven't been online for a while, so this is a belated thankyou.
For your gift, If I could I would take you horseback riding. We could pack a lunch and head for the hills, feeling the wind in our faces and the quiet strength in the rippling muscles of our horses as they carry us along the dusty trails. We could go up a desert canyon with sycamore trees to lunch under, and come back by a pool with a waterfall and let our horses drink and perhaps take a quick swim.
If we are really lucky, we'll catch a glimpse of the white cougar some people have seen out here, or at least see a fox or some Javalina enjoying their day. It would be good HG. Just imagine the good times and they will come again.
